Bunt Sock
by BaseballJunk.com
Patent Pending.

Having coached for many years, I have found that many players have
a hard time laying down a bunt on command.
I feel one of the main reasons for this is
that players do not take the time to watch the ball hit the bat.
They are either looking at where they want the ball to go, or they pull their head at the last second.
The whole idea behind the bunt sock is to
force a player to watch the ball until the ball hits
the bat. This will help the player to see the ball they are
bunting instead of just sticking a bat in the strike zone and
hoping the ball will hit the bat.

The Bunting Sock
- Fits on any size or type of softball or baseball bat.
- Small enough to store anywhere.
- Can double as a bat sleeve.
- Will help any age player bunt.
- Affordable enough for every player to have their own.
- Gives player and coach immediate feedback.
- Can be used by a player with or without a coach on
hand.
How to Use
You will notice the bunt sock has 3 different colored
circles (green white and blue) on it. All three of these circles are in what I call
the sweet part of the bat. If the ball hits in any of the
circles it should produce an effective bunt.
To start, the coach calls out a color while the player
attempts to bunt. The player tries to bunt on the
corresponding color of the bunting sock. The only way a
player can accomplish this task is by watching the ball
until it hits the bat to make sure it hits the correct
color.
This will teach a player to watch the ball till it hits
the bat and in turn will produce a more effective at bat for
the player. As I stated earlier, many players tend to look
at where they want the ball to go, instead of where it is
going to hit the bat. |
